Ah...my favourite magazine strikes again!

My very favourite magazine that I discovered in North Carolina at my college's library has not left my curiosity since 1989 : The Sun magazine!
This months interview is extremely inspiring in many areas of life. It is with Irish poet and philosopher John O’Donohue and here's an excerpt :

"One of the great problems in postmodern culture is the lack
of true conversation. What we have is more a series of intersecting
monologues. There has been no real conversation between
the West and Islam. We need one badly, for it is conversation
that breaks down caricature and allows bridges to be built.
The tragedy of the West at the moment is that all interaction
seems to take place across one bridge: economics."
John O’Donohue

There is a 3 page excerpt on the magazine's website : http://www.thesunmagazine.org/376_O'Donohue.pdf

prayers...

I onced asked a Jesuit priest
what was the best short prayer he knew.

He said "Fuck it", as in "Fuck it; it's in God's hands."

transmitting and receiving...

I start doubting whether "love" is an objective for local consciousness...
Even people with intuition about how creating this "flux of being" don't invest in it often "enough"...
What is enough, right?
Pain is investing our intestines for further consciousness matters...
May the space be with us...

ah...me body...

Why we don’t die

In late September many voices
Tell you you will die.
That leaf says it. That coolness.
All of them are right.

It's like human posture : it is a life time commitement to constant readjustement...
We're heading towards democracy.
We're not there yet.

Act for Special Procedures: A Global Petition

“The Special Procedures give a voice to the voiceless victims of abuses.”

-Kofi Annan, 19 June 2006

Despite the clear need for the Human Rights Council to strengthen the Special Procedures, several states are instead proposing changes that would cripple the ability of Special Procedures to promote and protect human rights effectively.

ΕΥΡΩΠΗ or the Myth of Europe

I have to assume this role...
Am I being pretentious?
Representing the myth of Europe through a dancer's body?
Plus, 23 children & teenagers singing and acting around me?
A cultural alliance of european cities will be the pretext for this attempt. The 16th of March in the city hall of Tours.
I will test my capacity to per - form and also my capacity to receive and transmit at the same time...
Receive what? Transmit what?
What does an all encompassing space do naturally?
Who talked about love?
And She...continues inspiring me...Ah....

replacing fear with love : a science...

Fear is one of the greatest problems in life.

A mind that is caught in fear lives in confusion, in conflict,

and therefore must be violent, distorted and aggressive”,

the world is changing!

What separates us?
Who separates us?
Where do we focus to?
Is there fear in the room?
Or is there love in the room?
It's up to us...

measuring against gravity

sadness twisting the organs : limiting the flow of the state of love

we spend more time in fear rather than being in a state of love...

Love "is" creation : receiving and transmitting at the same time.

One day we will make it...

keep "putting pieces" of love everywhere you breathe...

Utne : far out!

I rediscovered a favorite magazine : Utne / understanding the next Evolution...
The issue I bought(November 2005) had "Embrace your feminine" as cover story. Here's an excerpt:

Social analyst and ecopsychology pioneer Theodore Roszak says, "As women come more and more into their own, the qualities that we have long assumed were exclusively and stereotypically theirs will come to be more widely acknowledged. Institutions now grounded in harshly competitive market values will give more and more place to care, cooperation, and mutual aid. In the century to come, we can expect our cultural style to be steadily reshaped by the other half of the human race."
In fact, this reshaping has already begun. We find hope in all the ways women are stepping into leadership all over the world and in the men who are evolved enough to honor the feminine in themselves as well as in women.
